Acceptance of Terms

These Website Terms ("Terms") are an agreement between you and 5 Race Street LLC, operating under the alternate name Copyright by UCE ("5 Race Street LLC," "we," "us," or "our"), the operator of universalcreationevidence.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Description of Site

The Site publishes information about Universal Creation Evidence (UCE), a public-draft, implementation-independent evidentiary framework. It includes framework text, educational material, mark-usage guidance, downloads, and links to third-party or separately operated services.

The Site does not create UCE records, accept file uploads, provide accounts or a waitlist, process payments, operate a verifier, provide government registration, or adjudicate authorship, ownership, originality, infringement, or competing claims.

UCE and the Separate CbyUCE Platform

Universal Creation Evidence is the technical framework. Copyright by UCE (CbyUCE) is the separate live operational implementation and current reference architecture. UCE does not itself operate the CbyUCE commercial platform.

Use of cbyuce.com is governed by CbyUCE's separate Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Those platform terms apply to accounts, uploads, payments, evidence creation, public Arweave storage, and hosted verification activity conducted through CbyUCE.

Evidence and Legal Limitations

UCE defines methods for preserving and checking technical evidence linked to creative works. Technical verification may evaluate file or manifest integrity, digital signatures, storage references, chronology data, and the statements placed on record. Creator, claimant, authorship, ownership, creation-date, and rights statements are recorded assertions unless separately attested.

UCE evidence complements rather than replaces national copyright registration, legal advice, factual investigation, or adjudication. Legal treatment, admissibility, and evidentiary weight vary by jurisdiction and surrounding facts. For official procedures, consult the WIPO directory of national and regional IP offices or qualified counsel.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

Prohibited Activities

• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access unauthorized areas of the Site
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site or servers
• Use automated tools in a manner that materially burdens, disrupts, or circumvents the Site's security measures
• Use the Site for any illegal or harmful purposes
• Misrepresent UCE, the UCE mark, or Site content as WIPO-approved, government-issued, or official copyright registration
• Use the Site or its downloads to facilitate fraud, impersonation, unauthorized uploads, or misleading ownership claims

Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content

• The textual content of the UCE Framework specification and related framework documentation is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0), subject to the boundaries in the UCE Documentation License notice
• The UCE name, symbol, trademarks, mark assets, mark-usage rules, Site design and software, legal policies, and third-party materials are excluded from that documentation license
• CC BY 4.0 is not a software license. Any future reference code or provider-independent verifier must carry its own express license
• During the public-draft period, the UCE mark may be used only in accordance with the published mark-usage guidance and only for a work with a corresponding CbyUCE evidence record; eligibility for another implementation requires express publication by UCE after objective conformance materials are validated

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these third-party sites. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.

Privacy and Data Protection

The Site's current data practices are described in the UCE Website Privacy Policy. That policy covers universalcreationevidence.com only; CbyUCE platform activity is covered by CbyUCE's separate Privacy Policy.

Site Availability

• Site availability, third-party resources, downloads, and external links are not guaranteed to remain uninterrupted or unchanged
• The Site may be updated, suspended, or modified for maintenance, accuracy, security, or other reasons

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 5 Race Street LLC, Copyright by UCE, Universal Creation Evidence, and their officers, managers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

Access and Enforcement

You may stop using the Site at any time. Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to protect the Site, comply with law, or respond to misuse. Provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply to prior use.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Jersey, USA.

Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated by posting a revised version on this page and changing the "Last Updated" date.

Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and 5 Race Street LLC regarding the Site.
